Savannah Miller (Hammerton) successfully defended her PhD and is moving on. She will join CDC’s EIS program in fall of 2026.

And less noteworthy, Dr. Handel continued to teach Infectious Diseases, Immunology and Within-Host Models with his colleague Paul Thomas at the 2026 Summer Institute in Statistics and Modeling in Infectious Diseases (SISMID).
